Simon has over 25 years experience working as an Engineer and is a Full member of the British Institute for Facilities Management. His expertise includes HVAC, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
After serving in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy, Simon pursued a career within M&E and Building Services taking on a number of roles including Account Manager, Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Senior Consulting Engineer. He has extensive experience working on a range of energy saving initiatives and has acted as Account / Contracts Manager for a number of National Retailers and blue chip companies.
Simon joined ETS in 2016 and is responsible for the delivery of a range of energy saving and technical engineering projects. He is also the principle lead and Project Manager for one of the UK’s largest DIY retailers.
Kevin has close to 40 years experience working in the building engineering services sector for number of national M&E installation firms including Mitie Engineering Maintenance and Interserve Defence Ltd. He has extensive experience working across a range of sectors and his expertise includes HVAC systems, BMS, Boilers and Pressure Systems.
After starting his career as an installer and maintenance engineer, Kevin progressed into the role of Operations and Maintenance Manager project managing the operations and maintenance of M&E services for a number of multi-million pound schemes.
Kevin joined ETS in 2008 as a Contracts / Project Manager for a number of our major retail clients and continues to work on secondment as part of the Engineering department at Sainsbury’s.
Matt has worked in the retail sector for over 20 years and has a BSc (Hons) in Climate Change and Energy Management from the University of the West of England. His expertise includes project management and energy management.
Matt pursued a career in energy and environmental management having previously worked as a Store Manager for a number of national retailers. He has a detailed understanding of the competitive nature of the retail market and the pressures faced to improve operational efficiencies and reduce capital expenditure.
Matt joined ETS in 2013 and acts as the key Account Manager for our contract with Sainsbury’s. He is responsible for the delivery of a number of energy saving initiatives and helps support our commercial team.
Neil has over 30 years experience in HVAC and refrigeration engineering. He has a HNC in Building Services Engineering and is (CITB) SMSTS Certified. His expertise includes project management, M&E design, HVAC and refrigeration.
Neil started his career with Etherington Air-conditioning installing and commissioning Air-conditioning (AC) units before progressing into the role of Senior Contracts Engineer, designing and managing various large scale HVAC projects. During his career Neil has worked with a number of blue-chip clients on a variety of projects ranging in value from small-scale refurbishments to multi-million-pound upgrade schemes.
Neil joined ETS in 2017 and works as one of our Senior Consulting Engineers specialising in M&E design. Neil supports our Operations department and is responsible for supplying consultancy expertise and delivering a number of energy and engineering projects / contracts.
Alex has close to 10 years’ experience in facilities management and engineering working across a wide range of sectors including retail, healthcare, leisure and tourism. His expertise includes compliance, electrical systems, HVAC, boiler and chiller systems, building controls and refrigeration.
Alex started his career as an electrician before becoming a maintenance technician. He quickly progressed into facilities management roles where he was responsible for the operations and compliance for a number of blue-chip firms including British Airways i360, CBRE and Virgin Active Health Club.
Dan has close to ten years' experience working as an engineer and has a wide range of professional qualifications. His expertise includes compliance, M&E Consultancy and Project Management.
Dan started his career working for the Royal Navy as an Avionic Technician. During this time he completed a number of industry-recognised qualifications including City and Guilds, NVQ 2 Aeronautical Engineering and a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering. After this he progressed to being responsible for building and upgrading civilian and military helicopters.
Dan joined ETS in 2017 as one of our Project Engineers, supporting our Operations department to deliver a wide range of energy saving initiatives including sub-metering installs, LED lighting upgrades and building services assessments. As a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager, Dan oversees the installation and commissioning for a number of multi-site, energy efficiency upgrade schemes.
Whilst completing his BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Ulster, Gerard was assigned two European grant funded study projects with UNINOVA, Faculty of Science and Technology, investigating waste stabilization treatment in Portugal. He then continued his studies achieving a Masters in Environmental Sciences from Trinity College, University of Dublin, before becoming a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), ESOS Lead Assessor and an accredited ISO 50001 Lead Auditor.
Gerard has worked across a broad range of sectors within Europe and the UK and is one of the leading experts in Indoor Air Quality and Water
Risk Assessment. As one of the leading experts in his field, he has extensive experience working as a Consultant and a University Lecturer. His expertise includes energy surveys / audits, Indoor Air Quality and Water Risk Assessments - Legionella monitoring and control.
Gerard joined ETS in 2016 as a Consulting Engineer and is responsible for the management and delivery of energy conservation measures for
a number of our clients.
Malcolm started his career as a Heating Engineer servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment for commercial buildings. He eventually specialised in energy management and building performance optimisation gaining over 30 years experience in the field.
As our controls specialist, Malcolm supports both our Operations department and our Technical Energy Centre (TEC). Drawing on his extensive experience, Malcolm provides diagnostics to data anomalies and is the lead engineer for all BMS and controls strategy reviews, upgrades and installations.
Paul has spent his whole career in the building energy management industry and has gained nearly 40 years of experience in the field, having worked for a number of high-profile organisations including Pembroke Power Station and the BBC. During this time, he developed a wide knowledge of multiple controls systems, with Trend being his system of choice for many years when he was a Director of a highly respected Trend TTC.
Having run BMS & Controls businesses for many years, Paul provides a high level of diagnostic skill for all the controls systems he supports, both new and old, offering upgrade paths and retrofit (or new control panel designs where required) including installation, commissioning and optimised seasonal tuning.
Now, as part of the ETS Automation team, Paul supports our Operations department and our Technical Energy Centre (TEC) providing BeMS integration skills and knowledge to a wide variety of clients across multiple sectors.
Graham started off his career as an apprentice control panel wireman in 1991, building control panels and undertaking site installations for businesses operating across a wide variety of sectors including automotive, large-scale utilities, minerals & mining, and commercial agriculture.
His career quickly developed into design, manufacture & testing of BMS control panels – whilst also undertaking on-site modification and retrofitting of existing panels.
Following a period as a Director of a highly respected BMS & Controls consultancy, Graham now forms part of the ETS Automation team, directly supporting our clients to optimise the performance of their properties, whilst also working closely with our Operations and Technical Energy Centre teams.
