Project Scope
ETS has worked with ALDI since 2012 to provide technical engineering expertise, energy consultancy and energy management. Acting as the National Energy Manager for ALDI Stores UK & Ireland, we are the trusted advisors for all energy related matters. Since our appointment, we have initiated and undertaken a number of energy saving projects and successfully implemented an ISO50001 accredited energy management system.
Our Technical Energy Centre (TEC) is a core component in the delivery of our service to ALDI and is integral to the management of energy across the estate. Our TEC team supports multiple stakeholders including Store Managers, Area Managers, Maintenance Managers and property teams, to resolve various store operational issues and support the successful delivery of new projects and technologies.
Key Challenges
All energy data is monitored daily and analysed by qualified engineers and energy analysts to ensure data accuracy for the 950+ sites under our management. We employ a mix of site visits, building asset information and controls, ensuring the sourcing and collection of energy data is correctly captured and includes any independent variables. IPMVP techniques are also used to evaluate / identify new technologies suitable for the estate.
Added Value / Achievements
In addition to our implementing an ISO50001 accredited energy management system and identifying and implementing ongoing energy and carbon efficiency interventions through aM&T and Helpdesk services, we have project managed the delivery of a number of technology-based energy saving initiatives, providing additional savings and resilience to the ALDI estate.
